If you are enquiring about Membership; please read the following:
- Since 1987 WHMC has, for safety reasons, required an appropriate BMFA RC achievement certificate (Basic, A or better) for solo, unsupervised flying.
- WHMC is not presently (2025/2026) in a position to offer tuition/training and therefore we can only consider enquiries from BMFA members already with a BMFA achievement certificate.
- Membership is subject to committee approval and a probationary period, membership is managed via the BMFA membership portal.
- Information on the BMFA achievement scheme can be found here, including links to videos and information on tuition days at the National Centre and other events.
- From November 2019 it is necessary to register with the CAA (exceptions may apply), information can be found from the BMFA here or the CAA.
If you are enquiring about disposal of unneeded equipment or models; please note the club is not in a position to store or process these and we suggest using a specialist business (e.g. APOB), an online marketplace or a BMFA Auction.
